With this tour, you can know the enigmatic Uros Islands, shorter option for those who do not have much time, but also more attractive to visit about the life of the Uros and understand the activities they do to live. That is why we will visit the Uros Island, which is a group of artificial islands made with totora reeds that grow in the vicinity of the lake, located north of the Bay of Puno. Its inhabitants are the Uros, an indigenous community considered to be descendants of the Pukinas (the oldest inhabitants of all America). The totora reed is an essential part of their life, because in addition to being used in the construction of the islands, it is also used medicinally. Their diet is mainly based on the consumption of fish obtained through artisanal fishing.
PICK UP FROM HOTEL – PUNO PORT – UROS ISLAND – TAQUILE ISLAND

- 09.00 am, 12.00 and 14.00 hrs.
- 08.45 hrs The excursion to the Floating Islands of the Uros begins with the pick up at the hotel in the circuit of the Plaza de Armas or land terminal and from there we will move to the port to board the boat.
- 09.00 hrs In a motor boat will take us to the fascinating floating islands of the Uros, located 7 km from the city of Puno, with a duration of 25 to 30 min. approx. in motor boat.
During our visit we will be able to explore the island, its typical houses, souvenir stores, take a ride on one of its totora reed boats with an additional cost, wear their typical attire and take pictures with the locals or with some traditional attire.
17.00 hrs After our tour to Uros we will return to Puno.
